  13. Please be advised that an anonymous Orange County, CA gentleman has, 
  14. some years ago, made a phenomenally fascinating archaeological 
  15. discovery on the Island of Java which, in a display of uncommon 
  16. brilliance amongst the naive souls of the scientific community 
  17. who still trust our government, he decided to keep hidden from 
  18. the terrestrial "powers that be".  He alleges to have found an 
  19. extraterrestrial artifact which posesses some incredible properties 
  20. and has made a full-scale graphic video presentation which he has 
  21. placed in the public domain.  The Omni / Antimatter Files section 
  22. of AOL contains these presentation files which are available for 
  23. public d/l.  The only caveat is that the files will correctly 
  24. operate only on a PC (sorry, MacUsers) equipped with Windows and
  25. a 16-million color VGA card and driver.  Since I only have a 256
  26. color driver, I have only been able to observe small portions of
  27. the presentation before encountering countless GPFs, yet what 
  28. little I have seen I find extremely convinving.

  30. Following is an excerpt of some of the text of the presentation:

  32. "Human perception has its limitation.  To the casual viewer, the
  33. artifact looks like nothing more than a collage of lines.  Looking
  34. closer it becomes obvious that the lines have symmetry.  Nature,
  35. ancient humans nor computer graphics created these images.  These 
  36. images were created by a superior intelligence that wanted to
  37. preserve and convey a very important message.  WARNING: some images
  38. may not be pleasant to look at, others may invoke fear and awe.
  39.  
  40. "1) The artifact is an ancient image projector.  The appearance of 
  41. the artifact dramatically changes when light of different colors 
  42. and intensities is passed through it.  When light is passed through 
  43. the gemstone, it iluminates and presents pictographs of animals, 
  44. humans, humanoids and saucer-like shapes.
  45.  
  46. "2) The artifact is as large as an adult's closed hand.  The size of 
  47. the artifact demands the use of macrophotography.  A Leica 35mm 
  48. camera has been used with a macro lens to clearly capture and document
  49. the pictographs and other intelligent alterations.
  50.  
  51. "3) The entire surface of the artifact has been "worked".  The complete 
  52. surface of the artifact is permeated with thousands of carved and 
  53. inscribed micro-images.  An area the size of a dime may have as many 
  54. as 20 images inscribed within it.
  55.  
  56. "4) A larger pictograph is the sum of many smaller pictographs.  The 
  57. pictographs are interwoven into each other.  A large pictograph can 
  58. be built of many smaller images.  To an untrained observer, the 
  59. artifact's surface appears as nothing more than a collage of inter-
  60. secting lines."
